La Aroma de Cuba traces its roots back to the late 1880s in Cuba, where the brand became an early favorite of Winston Churchill. In 1895, Churchill arrived on the island as an eager young lieutenant in the midst of Cuba’s rebellion against years of Spanish conquest. There, the genesis of his brilliant military career and his avid passion for handmade cigars emerged. More than 130 years later, La Aroma de Cuba embraces a fresh and prominent heritage in Nicaragua. The modern-day revival of La Aroma de Cuba began in the early 2000s with a series of popular handcrafted releases, packaged in boxes and bands adorned with the brand’s original nineteenth-century artwork. Cigar lovers embraced the classic old-world appeal and sophisticated, invigorating taste of La Aroma de Cuba cigars.
