We are thankful that many of you have stood beside us through this journey, together. To mark this occasion, we worked hand-in-hand with an amazing group of farmers, to deliver a heavy Criollo wrapper leaf that continues the Liga Privada pioneering philosophy. The Liga Privada 10 Aniversario shines the spotlight on this Criollo pioneer with a dense, full-bodied powerhouse that commands respect. Full-throttle and intense, the Liga Privada 10 Aniversario delivers sharp cheddar, with wave after wave of peppery spice in every pull.

Liga Privada - 10 Seleccion de Mercado

Liga Privada 10 SDM is a blend unlike any other. Blended and offered exclusively for the international palate and market, the Seleccion de Mercado delivers a truly unexpected experience. The name is Spanish for “Market Selection” and hearkens back to an age-old practice of wrapper leaf selection. Liga Privada 10 SDM features a stunningly beautiful reddish-brown (“rosado“) hue. This Connecticut Criollo capa is wrapped atop Mexican San Andres binder and Nicaraguan and Pennsylvanian fillers. Liga Privada 10 SDM presents a unique smoking experience with heaps of pepper and a luxurious core of Italian espresso.

Liga Privada - H99

Liga Privada has always been our love letter to the Connecticut River Valley and the rich, American tradition of tobacco cultivation. H99 is the third chapter in this epic story. For this monumental blend, we partnered with a group of trusted farmers to curate an ultra-premium hybrid leaf that melds Stalk-Cut Habano and Corojo ’99 … this is where “H99” gets its name. The H99 Hybrid wrapper is generously complemented by a Mexican San Andres binder, as well as bountiful filler leaves from Nicaraguan, Honduras, and Pennsylvania. H99 delights the aficionado with a clean, luxurious smoking experience, highlighting an espresso core and a perfect balance of cedar and sweetness.

Liga Privada - No. 9

Liga Privada No. 9 gained its name from the nine original blends we created to highlight the majestic Broadleaf of the Connecticut River Valley. Each blend better than the last, the ninth and final emerged as our definitive favorite through its unrivaled complexity and rewarding layers of flavor. Liga Privada No. 9 was born, and our fans endearingly named the blend “The Broadleaf Bully.” An unforgettable cigar featuring seven distinct, dark-air-cured leaves from renowned farms, Liga Privada No. 9 is undeniably bold, smooth, and satisfying. This robust, unique flavor is a direct result of the Stalk-Cut, Stalk-Cured process that transforms the Broadleaf wrapper to a once-in-a-lifetime experience. With rich nutrients available from the stalk of the plant throughout the curing period, and a meticulous, extended aging process, the final dark-air-cured tobacco is truly majestic. Liga Privada No. 9 delivers the pinnacle of Connecticut Broadleaf experiences, layering deep, meaty notes of earth and espresso with a long, remarkable finish.

Liga Privada - Papas Fritas

Papas Fritas are designed to deliver the core experience of Liga Privada without the high price tag. These sturdy little smokes are built from the premium grade tobacco trimmings of our Liga Privada blends. With their chaveta cuts of the Dark Broadleaf capa and rare Grade 1 filler tobaccos, the Papas Fritas is the finest tripa corta cigar ever made. During rolling, we hand-sort the tobaccos to their original leaf variety and thickness, hand-cut them to a uniform size, and then blend to ensure consistency and flavor. Papas Fritas offers a delicious 30-minute smoke that’s spicy and rich, heavy on flavor, and light on the wallet.

Liga Privada - T52

This exquisite, full-bodied cigar features a beautiful, hearty Habano wrapper which is grown exclusively for Drew Estate by Connecticut’s most talented and committed farmers. This T52 Habano leaf is full of complex flavor, providing a thick, savory experience to the Liga Privada family. This purposeful Liga Privada expression was only obtained through company-wide dedication and perseverance, both at pre-industry as well as on the rolling floor. Stalk-Cut and Stalk-Cured, the T52 Habano wrapper receives plenty of rich nutrients during harvesting, and is then slowly aged to our rigorous standards. This is no easy task. Due to the thickness of the leaf, T52 wrappers ferment significantly longer than all other Liga Privadas in the portfolio – 30 to 36 months! After this extended fermentation process, the wrapper is passionately blended with a luxurious, Plantation-Grown Brazilian Mata Fina binder, and Nicaraguan and Honduran filler leaves. With a mouth feel of true Connecticut River Valley grit, each T52 cigar promises notes of earth and black pepper with a long-lasting and satisfying caramel finish. The Liga Privada Unico Serie showcases hard-hitting, innovative blends that push our craftsmanship and artistry to the limit. Each blend within the Unico Serie offers a one-of-a-kind smoking experience that we simply had to share with the world. UF4: The “Ultra Fuerte” was born during the original blending process for Liga Privada No. 9, then slightly tweaked for extra body. A personal favorite of Jonathan Drew, released each November in the windy city of Chicago. L40: This award-winning lancero takes a supreme level of skill and expertise to roll. A complex and nuanced blend that perfectly showcases the T52 wrapper, while still paying homage to the purposefully selected filler and binder leaves. For those who know lanceros, the 38-ring-gauge is the time-honored vitola. However, we’ve packed an extra leaf into the blend to create the 40-ring-gauge that provides this lancero its namesake. L40 is rolled by only one pair at La Gran Fabrica Drew Estate. Dirty Rat: Full-bodied and no-holds-barred; this small, ferocious blend has created a dedicated following among Liga Privada lovers worldwide. T52 Habano cover-leaf adorns this notorious vitola. Ratzilla: A creamier, velvety smooth version of the Dirty Rat blend; Ratzilla is incredibly elegant. Like Dirty Rat, T52 Habano was the selected cover-leaf for this epic Unico. Year of the Rat: Dressed in gold and ready to celebrate, the Year of the Rat was crafted to commemorate the Florida Panthers ‘96 Stanley Cup season. Our signature No. 9 Broadleaf takes this blend on an incredible journey. Velvet Rat: A longer vitola to the Year of the Rat, this No. 9 Broadleaf wrapped Corona delivers full-bodied Rat-ness. Flying Pig: The most distinctive Unico Serie size, Flying Pig was inspired by an 1895 cigar catalog; featuring a signature pigtail cap. Definitely a hard-to-find vitola, this Pig took an important role in changing industry perception of Drew Estate in its most critical years. Dense, powerful, and memorable, Flying Pig was akin to our certificate of authenticity as a world-class, ultra-premium cigar manufacturer.
