The Cohiba Linea 1492 series was launched in 1992 to commemorate the 500th anniversary of Columbus’s historic arrival in Cuba. This milestone celebration inspired a line of cigars that would become one of the most sophisticated expressions of Cuban cigar-making, with each vitola bearing the title “Siglo” (Spanish for century) to honour the five centuries between 1492 and 1992.
